Crown Prince Haakon himself took the first photos of his new baby daughter, now next-in-line to the throne in Norway. Here's the day-old Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
The royal photos were published on the palace's own web site, allowing Crown Prince Haakon to "scoop" every professional photographer in the country.
Like most newborns, Norway's new royal heir appeared rather red and prone to dozing off.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra seemed to cooperate nonetheless with her first of many future encounters with a camera lens.
