Oslo-based Opera said T-Mobile International AG would install the Opera Mini browser on several mass market mobile telephones.

The small Norwegian company's shares rose 7.98 percent to NOK 23 (USD 3.43) just before closing on the Oslo stock exchange.

T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom's mobile phone unit, has more than 80 million subscribers in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Britain and the United States. At the end of 2004, some 120 million people were using services provided by companies linked to the German company.

Opera said T-Mobile using the Mini browser would bring full Internet access to phones that previously could not be used to surf the 'Net.
