The Sterling call center in Amsterdam received an anonymous phone call from a person claiming the plane would be blown up in the air, Danish news agency Ritzau reports.
The caller further claimed that a person on the flight would be bearing the explosive charge.
According to the Danish airline the threatened flight was Sterling number NB682 which was scheduled to land at Oslo Gardermoen at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday.
All 99 passengers had been removed from the plane and extra security checks were being carried out. The passengers were moved to the terminal while the aircraft was searched for bombs.
The plane being held at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport is a Boeing 737-700 that seats 149.
"If they find something in Amsterdam we have a completely new situation, but hopefully this is again a case of a false bomb threat," Sterling's commercial chief Stefan Vilner told Ritzau.
"Bomb threats were not a rare occurrence before but luckily now they only happen once or twice a year. People are aware that a bomb threat is a serious offense and that it risks a severe punishment," Vilner said.
According to Oslo Gardermoen's web site the new arrival time for the threatened flight is 1:20 p.m.
