Driving conditions are reportedly dangerous in many areas of Northern Norway, and E6 over Saltfjellet is closed, while some flights have also been cancelled.
"The weather is extremely bad in the region," said shift operator Vigdis Lorentzen of the Public Roads Administration.
"I have a camera here that’s supposed to show the area, but everything is completely gray and I can’t see a thing," she said.
E12 between Mo i Rana and Umbukta is also closed, while most ferry transport has been halted and the coastal boats are stuck in port for the time being.
Avalanche warnings are in place for a large portion of the region.
