The deportation process against the former leader of militant Kurdish group Ansar al-Islam will formally begin on June 30, the date given by occupation forces for the transfer of autonomy to Iraqi leaders.
PM Bondevik confirmed these plans during parliamentary question time.
"Mullah Krekar is expelled from Norway and so we want to deport him. We begin the process now because there are plans to install an Iraqi government. But we cannot send a man back to a country where he risks a death sentence or other inhuman treatment," Bondevik said.
