Rekdal is furious that referee Espen Berntsen didn't expell Lillestrøm player Pål Steffen Andresen after a tough tackle against Vålerenga's Bernt Hulsker.
The tackle, Rekdal claims, "was a crystal-clear red card for Andresen. The referee was a coward.
"We could have had one surplus man for 15 minutes of play."
Andresen had scored arch-rival Lillestrøm's first goal on its home turf north of Oslo. Arild Sundgot scored Lillestrøm's second goal, and then the match was over for Vålerenga.
Now Lillestrøm will face off against Molde, the only two Norwegian clubs that haven't suffered a loss in cup play this season.
