Kasparov will be picked up at Oslo's main airport at Gardermoen in a limousine on January 3. He and his fiancée will be driven to Oslo's Grand Hotel, where they'll be put up in the hotel's so-called "tower suite."
Kasparov, known for commanding high fees for his appearances, will also be paid by a production company behind the documentary, but the fee was unknown.
He's making the trip in connection with the documentary about Magnus Carlsen, Norway's young chess champion. The documentary is scheduled to air in Norway next spring, and already has been sold for overseas release.
